  • Founded by Sanaul Haque Babul in 1999 or 2000 in Dhaka into a modest startup with just three sewing machines, a cutting table, and an embroidery machine.

    The early breakthrough came when AB Fashion won the  Eid Fashion Contest, which accelerated growth and recognition.

🚀 Early Growth

  • By 2003, AB Fashion Maker was supplying products to 550 national retail outlets across Bangladesh and began exporting finished garments—including salwar kameez and traditional outfits—to markets in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.

    The company officially lists its founding date as 1999 in some directories and 2000 in others, which reflects its gradual evolution from boutique to manufacturing house AB fashion maker.

🏭 Operations & Capacity

  • Located at Golden Gate Shopping Center on Mirpur Road with its manufacturing base in Gazipur. ( Now New Location is Maqqa Shoping mall ( Near Chandni Chowk Market ) and 44/1 Sher e-bangla road hazaribag dhaka - 1209 .

    As of 2014, AB Fashion Maker had 190 employees, operated 100 machines, and produced approximately 8,000 dozen garments yearly, mainly woven shirts and pants.

    Other sources mention a workforce between 301–500 (designers, staff, factory workers) and revenue in the US $1–2.5 million range.

💡 Design Philosophy & Recognition

  • Positioned itself as a trendsetter in Bangladeshi fashion, blending traditional Bengali or Pakistan-inspired styles with modern western elements—offering handloom prints, block prints, embroidery, partywear, and hand-painted collections. Sanaul Haque Babul is a First epoch-making inventor in digital printing fabric industrice in bangladesh.

    Since 2005, AB Fashion Maker has been the dress sponsor for "ITYADI Magazine", one of Bangladesh's most widely viewed TV talk shows—further boosting its brand presence.

  • Founder Sanaul Haque Babul has been vocal about the need for Bangladesh to move beyond being a low‑cost manufacturing hub to becoming a design innovation leader. He argues that pioneering original designs (domestically developed) can generate more revenue—one design can match volumes from thousands of manufactured units.

    His vision includes taking AB Fashion Maker global, building design capacity, and carrying forward Bangladesh’s cultural identity through clothing
